If there is one subject that can spark controversy with just about everyone, it’s health care. Health care affects the most everyone and can bring people who are typically uninterested in politics to the debate.
Recently Senator Bernie Sanders has proposed legislation for “Medicare for All” in the Senate. As of last report there were 16 co-sponsors of the proposed bill, all from the Democrat Party. Even though it is not expected to pass, it is symbolic and likely a litmus test for people in office, even though some politicians and big media types would like you to believe otherwise.
It is likely that the current cosponsors are riding the wave of progressive politics that has started to flex its muscle within the Democrat Party’s traditional Base. In fact popularity with some form of government funded and operated health care is above 50%, according to Gallop.

As a U.S. Army Veteran, 1977 to 1981 I was warned by Korean & Vietnam Veterans to never go to the V.A. Hospitals except for maybe glasses or something minor. The V.A. hospitals are death chambers. Perhaps since the scandal they have gotten better but I’m leaning towards a more natural holistic health approach to keep myself away from doctors office and away from hospitals.
