I bought my first house (solo) in my early forties, after a long arduous divorce. It was such an amazing feeling of accomplishment, as if I had finally grown into my own person.
I bought my first house back in 1998 at the age of 28 with my ex-husband. I was so scared and stressed in that house our first night that I wanted to cry and go back to my mom’s. Five years later when my ex and I divorced I refinanced the house in my name alone. That time I felt great because I had earned my independence.
I have never owned my own house. I’m not really sure it’s worth it to own my own home. I did live in a Co-Op for 7 years though. I was a non non equity owner.

I don’t remember what year it was when I bought my first house, but I do remember feeling excited and scared at the same time.

My first wife and I bought a house together in 1992. It was a good feeling that I was on the property ladder.

My wife and I purchased our first house in 2011 at the age of 26. It was an amazing feeling after years and years of hard work, saving and sacrifice.
