Don’t look into the sun by Emma Nay

The rays of sun warm the earth to the core,

By gently caressing the surface

With the devotion of a Canaan .

Kissing the ice caps.

Smothering the deserts.

The sun gives all of its energy over to the world.

And shines so prettily; dancing with the shadows.

It crawls on its belly to the crest of the sky

just to look down at the earth.

The sun gazes at the earth every day.

And each day the earth turns away.
